The Club is marking its Bicentenary with a series of celebrations. Among the highlights is the re-launch of its beautifully renovated Dining Room, designed by Russell Sage Studio, bringing a fresh perspective to the Club’s historic ambiance, creating an atmosphere that seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary elegance. The Calcutta Light Horse Bar, the Hill Station and the Terrace provide a more casual, all-day dining option. Many Summer evenings may be enjoyed on the Club Terrace, with Rotisserie during the warmer months.

Calcutta Light Horse Bar
The Calcutta Light Horse Bar has a relaxed, contemporary feel with a Smart Casual Dress Code. The food menu is served throughout the day, and includes Eastern Sharing Plates, Oysters, Burgers, Sandwiches and Salads. There is an extensive Wine List, as well as a selection of Cocktails, Beers and Premium Spirits. It overlooks the all-weather Terrace which provides the setting for Live Music Evenings and Cocktail Parties.
Hill Station & Terrace
A Summer retreat for Members to relax and refresh during the warmer months. On cooler evenings and when the sun refuses to co-operate, there are cosy corners, heaters, blankets, and warming Curries and Cocktails to comfort you. The Terrace also provides the setting for a variety of events including the Summer Cocktail Party, Shakespeare and Opera Performances during the Summer.

Drawing Rooms
Unwind in with a coffee and the newspapers. Complimentary newspapers and magazines are available for Members along with complimentary Coffee, Tea and Water. Electronic versions of newspapers and magazines are also available. The Business Room has three iMac Computers with High Speed Broadband Wi-Fi internet connection are provided alongside three laptop stations and a printer. The Main Drawing Room and Main and Small Smoking Rooms may be used for meetings. Papers, laptops as well as mobile phones are permitted.


In the nineteenth century, the Club’s then Chef – Richard Terry, wrote one of Britain’s first Indian Cookery Books entitled Indian Cookery, and this continues to influence the menus of the Club today.
