The Oriental Club takes the quality of its food and wine seriously. Our Executive Chef, Wesley Smalley, has the very highest credentials and a passion for delicious food created from fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Wesley’s exciting international career has seen him work in Spain, Thailand and Australia, in some of London’s most respected restaurants (The Ivy, Charlotte’s Bistro) and with renowned chefs like Mark Hix and Jean-Christophe Novelli. In his own right, Wesley has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and two AA Rosettes.

New Flavours and Club Classics

Wesley has embraced the challenge of bringing exciting new flavours to the Oriental Club’s Dining Room, whilst retaining a selection of favourite Club Classics and of course, the famous Club Curries. The well-priced set Club Menus change weekly and vary according to the seasonal ingredients available at the market.

Opening Hours

The Dining Room is open weekdays for breakfast, lunch and dinner and at weekends and Bank Holidays for breakfast only.


Breakfast: 7.00am - 10.00am
Lunch: 12.30pm - 2.30pm
Dinner: 7.00pm - 9.30pm
Weekend Breakfast: 8.00am - 10.30am

Did you know?

In the 19th century, Members of the Oriental Club inverted a plate or ‘turned down’ a chair to reserve their table for lunch or dinner. We suspect this means that the chair was tipped in towards the table rather than turned upside down, but still, we have less ‘hands-on’ methods of booking a table these days.
